As some of you may or may not know a chapter of our book is coming to a close and a new one is just beginning. About 8 months ago we were approached by a veteran media company out of Portland. They were once young guys like ourselves and appreciated our goal of helping local businesses and communities thrive. For the past decade they have been producing maps in 20 areas of Oregon, publishing quarterly magazines and creating hyper local coupon books for community outreach purposes.

They took notice to what we were doing and wanted to help us continue to succeed in the Seattle Area. So after many discussions, their company (Mapclicks) actually decided to invest into our company (4th Ave Maps) and collectively, we have decided to become a large family.

Working in conjunction we can now rely on a dedicated design team, a high level strategy and distribution plan and HR resources. While at the same time, it now provides our business clients with a more comprehensive, professional and targeted media solution. And lastly, it connects the bridge between two northwestern cities, while creating buzz and exposure for both areas, done via magazine and online resources.

With all of that being said, we want to officially announce that in our successful attempt of helping local Seattle businesses we are now broadening our affordable product solutions to introduce community supported hyper local coupon books (Choose Local Bucks) and a magazine showcasing local celebrities (ABOUTFACE). However, the name 4th Ave Maps doesn’t make much sense for our goal of becoming your go-to media resource and the name Mapclicks didn’t encompass everything that they were producing in Oregon, so what we decided during this merging of companies is that we should create a new brand moving forward and obviously continue to create the most effective tools for our merchants. So without further ado, the new name of the guys from 4th Ave Maps….drumroll please…..We are now Choose Local Media (Washington). We hope you like the name as much as we do. Thank you for supporting us and giving us a chance to show value to you. We hope to continue working with you for years to come.
